NOW COMES THE THIRD AND FINAL INSTALLMENT OF THIS SAGA,
PART 3)EXPOSING THE MUCH OVER GLORIFIED AMOGH SHAKTI -
This was the weapon which Karna got in Exchange of Kavach Kundal from the Indra.Apart from this Indra gave a boon that this weapon shall slay anyone provided it can be used only once.So basically it was just a boon of Indra dev,nothing more.
Boons have both been honored as well as overtaken,Some examples from Mahabharat-
1)Nivetkavachas had a boon of impenetrable Armour from Brahma,,Indra gives Vajrayudh to Arjun and he destroys the Armour of Nivetkavachas and kills them. [BOON OVERTAKEN]
2)Jayadrath had a boon from Lord Shiva to be invincible to all Pandavas for one day,except Arjun as lord shiva gave him Pashupatastra,Jayadrath remained undefeated and Abhimanyu died.[BOON HONOURED]
3)Samshaptakas had a boon from Lord Shiva not to lose in battle,but they lost terribly to Arjun [BOON OVERTAKEN]
4)Bhagdutta had a Vaishnavastra from Varaha Vishnu[BOON HONOURED, no pandava ventured as long as he had this weapon,once Krishna pacified it,Bhagdutta got killed by a Pandava...BOON NULLIFIED]
5)Shrutdhanva had a mace which would make him invicible but would hit him back if he used it on unarmed , it fell on Krishna and his head blew up[BOON NULLFIED]
SO BOONS HAVE SOMETIMES BEEN OVERTAKEN AND SOMETIMES HONOURED.
THE BOON OF VASAVI SHAKTI COULD HAVE BEEN EASILY OVERTAKEN,ARJUN HAD MUCH MORE POWERFUL WEAPONS THAN VASAVI SHAKTI,VIZ
VAJRAYUDH-This was the most powerful weapon of Indra,just like Lord Shiva's foremost weapon is Trident,just like Lord Vishnu's foremost weapon is Sudershan,similarly Indra's most powerful weapon is Vajra.It is much more powerful than Vasavi Shakti.
PASHUPATASTRA-Needs no introduction,capable of destroying three worlds,destroyed the triple city made of Gold,Silver and Iron in one shot and could have neutralized any weapon,as told by Lord Krishna himself.
BRAHMASIRA-The most powerful Brahmastra capable of burning entire earth.
YAMADANDA,VARUNA PASHA,ANTARDHANA MACE - Foremost weapons of Yama,Varuna and Kubera much more powerful than amogh shakti.

BHISHMA HIMSELF TOLD KARNA THAT HIS SHAKTI WEAPON WOULD BURN INTO ASHES AGAINST THE DISCUS OF VASUDEVA,SO THERE WAS NOTHING LIKE IT WAS UNCOUNTERABLE.
NOW THE BIGGEST QUESTION IS WHY LORD KRISHNA WAS WORRIED REGARDING AMOGH SHAKTI?
Well,Arjun could have countered Amogh shakti using Vajra or Brahmasira or any other superior weapon,but doing so he would be falsifying his own father's boon.Arjun was a man of morals,he would have preferred to die rather than falsifying his own father's words.
Karna was cleaver and wicked,he exploited this weakness of Arjun and traded his Kavach Kundal for Amogh Shakti.With Kavach Kundal,Karna was defeated several times,but amogh shakti gave him an opportunity to eliminate any warrior of his choice.And Karna would be aware that Arjun would not try to overtake this boon of his own father.
KARNA COMPLETEY RELIED ON THIS SHAKTI WEAPON TO KILL ARJUNA,BUT ARJUN NEVER RELIED ON SUCH 'CHEAT CODES',HE WON THE WAR THROUGH HIS SKILLS.EVEN ARJUN HAD MORE POWERFUL WEAPONS THAN SHAKTI- PASUPATA,BRAHMASIRA,VAJRA,RAUDRA,YAMADANDA,VARUNA PASHA,ANTARDHANA MACE.THESE WEAPONS COULD HAVE KILLED ANY WARRIOR IN KURUKSHETRA AND ARJUN COULD HAVE USED THESE 'N' NUMBER OF TIMES,AGAINST 'N' NUMBER OF WARRIORS.
