★★ARJUNA-THE PERFECT ROLE MODEL★★

★★ARJUNA-THE PERFECT ROLE MODEL★★

Arjuna
is the ultimate hero of the Mahabharata
being an incarnation of Nara, the heroic
masculine power of Lord Vishnu . King
Pandu and Kunti purified themselves by
severe austerities to Indra for one year
before he was born. No other birth
except Krishna's was celebrated by the
devas, sages and apsaras.

However his real achievement lies in his
pursuit of perfection all his life. Though
born into the great Bharata race he is
not content to rest on the strength of his
family fame and exerts himself until he
becomes the greatest warrior on earth.
He is the embodiment of Kshatriya
manhood.

Arjun dedicated his life for archery. All of us have heard the story of Drona's testing with birds eye. That incident clearly indicates how much was the concentration which Arjun achieved. Arjun used to practice archery in night also. It helped him to conquer the sleep also. So he is known as GUDAKESHA - means The one who conquered sleep. And Arjun was able to use his both hands in archery with same effectiveness. He is known as SAVYASACHI - The Ambidextrous warrior.
Arjun is the only ambidextrous warrior in the history.

He bears all the injustices of the Kauravas
with courageous fortitude and yet
hesitates to kill them when they are
arranged before him for war. It is this purity and kindness of heart
which makes Arjuna truly great. As C
Rajagoplachari puts it, he never abuses
his immense power and ever shrinks
from an unworthy act. These qualities
make Krishna choose him as his dearest
friend and disciple. Arjuna is the role
model for the young man aiming at
perfection and he achieved ultimate
victory in both the material and
spiritual battlefields of his life with the
Lord Himself as his Guide.

None in the history of India can be such a role
model of students as Arjuna who was the epitome
of concentration, dedication, self sacrifice, respect
of elders. Most important of all is his
knowledge in protecting dharma rather than using
them to harm innocents !! Truely Arjuna's labour, dedication & hard work establish the fact - PRACTICE MAKES US PERFECT !!

Arjuna award have been
therefore appropriately chosen for such
sportsmen for their great service to nation !!

In spite of being the
greatest Archer , Arjuna is so innocent and
firmly attached to Krishna. A devote of lord should be like Arjun. He is a pure practitioner of Vedic- dharma. Naturally, he
is always blessed by the Gurus and
Acharyas.

So , Arjuna is our role model . Any one
following Arjuna' s footsteps in dedication and as a devote is very near to success and is dear to Gods. Now its our duty to follow Arjuna's footsteps to attain the perfection in our respective fields & become the best like Arjuna !!

Jai Dhananjaya
