As you all can read,even a warrior like Susharma managed to nullify Nagastra easily using Sauparna Weapon(Garudastra).Of course Arjuna and many other warriors in Mahabharat possessed Garudastra. 

SNAKE ASHWASENA ATTACHED HIMSELF IN KARNA'S NAGASTRA BECAUSE OF WHICH IT BECAME IRRESTIBLE.OTHERWISE A WARRIOR LIKE ARJUN WHO IS BLESSED WITH VARIETY OF CELESTIAL WEAPONS COULD HAVE EASILY BAFFLED AN ORDINARY WEAPON LIKE NAGASTRA.

Ashwasena was the second most poisonous snake.He had used his yogic energy to enter the arrow.There is a difference between yogic energy and physical energy.

That diadem was #incapable of being #crushed by #Rudra and the Lord of #waters and#Kuvera with #Pinaka and noose and #thunderbolt and the very foremost of shafts. It could not be endured by even the foremost ones among the gods. Vrisha, however, now broke it forcibly with his snake-inspired shaft. Endued with great activity, that wicked-natured snake of fierce form and false vows, falling upon that diadem-decked with gold and gems, #swept it away from #Arjuna's #head. #That #snake, O king, forcibly tore it away from Partha's head, quickly #reducing #into #fragments that well-made ornament set over with many a gem and blazing with beauty, like the thunderbolt riving a mountain summit decked with lofty and beautiful trees graced with flowers. #Crushed by that#excellent #weapon, possessed of splendour, and blazing with the fire of (the snake's) poison, that beautiful and much-liked diadem of Partha fell down on the earth like the blazing disc of the Sun from the Asta hills. 

Narrative:

Sped from Karna's arms, that costly shaft resembling fire or the sun in effulgence, viz., that mighty snake who from before had become the deadly foe of Arjuna, thus crushing the latter's diadem, went away. Having burnt the gold-decked diadem of Arjuna displayed on his head, he desired to come to Arjuna once more with great speed

(Arjun's diadem kirit was indestructible even with celestial weapons,it was only due to ashwasena's presence that Kirit was crushed)

I HOPE NOW EVERYONE HAS REALIZED THE EFFECT OF ASHWASENA IN THAT NAGASTRA.THAT NAGASTRA OF KARNA WAS A ZERO(LIKE KARNA) WITHOUT ASHWASENA IN IT.

ARJUN WAS UNABLE TO RECOGNISE THAT WEAPON(DUE TO PRESENSE OF ASHWASENA IN IT),THAT'S WHY HE DID NOT SHOOT ANY COUNTER WEAPON.HAD ARJUN BEEN AWARE OF ASHWASENA IN THAT NAGASTRA,HE WOULD HAVE USED A SUPERIOR WEAPON.

NOW COMING TO THE MAIN POINT, LORD KRISHNA SAVING ARJUNA FROM THAT ARROW,SO WHEN ASHWASENA CAN HELP KARNA,WHY NOT KRISHNA HELP ARJUN? JUST LIKE ASHWASENA INTERFEARED IN THE BATTLE,SIMILARLY LORD KRISHNA ALSO HELPED ARJUNA,WHY SO MUCH SHOUT ?

EVEN IF KARNA MANAGED TO KILL ARJUNA WITH THIS ARROW,THE CREDIT WOULD HAVE GONE TO ASHWASENA,NOT TO KARNA,WHO IS INCAPABLE OF KILLING A KID EVEN,WHO CAN JUST RUN AWAY FROM BATTLEFIELD BE IT AGAINST A KID LIKE ABHIMANYU OR BE IT AGAINST A MIDDLE AGED PERSON LIKE BHIMA/ARJUN OR BE IT AGAINST AN OLD MAN LIKE DRUPAD OR BE IT AGAINST THE NON HUMANS LIKE GANDHARVAS,LOL
