MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT VIRAT WAR

-----------------------------------
>>>STATEMENT 1 BY FUNNY ADMIN - "In virat war, Arjuna simply used Sammohan astra & ran away from battlefield"
EXPLANATION -
Before using Sammohanastra,Arjun had comprehensively defeated all kuru warriors,he defeated Bhishma,Drona, three times defeated Karna,Ashwathama,Duryodhan,Dushasan and entire kuru army.
After using Sanmohanastra,Arjun waited till they all recovered. He neither slew them while they lay senseless, nor did he use the opportunity to escape the battlefield. He pierced Bhishma again who was not under the effect of Sanmohan.Bhishma himself said that they all have been vanquished fairly, and Arjun is not wicked or a sinner, that's why they have not been slain.
Narrative:
And those white steeds, urged on, took Arjuna away from the midst of battle-field and beyond the array of the infantry bearing standards in their hands. And, Bhishma, beholding that best of men thus going away, struck him with arrows. And Partha, too, having slain Bhishma's steeds, pierced him with ten shafts. And abandoning Bhishma on the field of battle, having first slain his car-driver, Arjuna with a good-looking bow in hand came out of that multitude of cars, like the sun emerging from the clouds. And Dhritarashtra's son, that foremost of heroes among the Kurus, recovering his senses, saw the son of Pritha standing like the lord of the celestials, alone on the battle-field. And he said in hurry (unto Bhishma), 'How hath this one escape from thee? Do thou afflict him in such a way that he may not escape.' And at this, Santanu's son, smiling, said unto him, 'Where had been this sense of thine, and where had been thy prowess too, when thou hadst been in a state of unconsciousness renouncing thy arrows and handsome bow? Vibhatsu is not addicted to the commission of atrocious deeds; nor is his soul inclined to sin. He renounceth not his principles even for the sake of the three worlds. It is for this only that all of us have not been slain in this battle.
------------------------------------
>>>STATEMENT 2 BY FUNNY ADMIN - "Arjun was on celestial Chariot while Karna and company were on Ordinary Chariot"
EXPLANATION -
WRONG,Arjun was not on his celestial Nandighosh Chariot. He was on uttar's chariot. He only had his ape bannered flag on this chariot.
ARJUN HOISTING HIS APE BANNER(FLAG) ON UTTAR'S CHARIOT -
Narrative:
And he hoisted on that car his own golden banner bearing the figure of an ape with a lion's tail, which was a celestial illusion contrived by Viswakarman himself. For, as soon, indeed, as he had thought of that gift of Agni, than the latter, knowing his wish, ordered those superhuman creatures (that usually sat there) to take their place in that banner. And furnished with a beautiful flag of handsome make, with quivers attached to it, and adored with gold, that excellent flag-staff of celestial beauty than quickly fell from the firmament on his car.
AFTER VIRAT WAR WAS OVER,THAT APE BANNER WAS REMOVED FROM UTTAR'S CHARIOT AND UTTAR GOT BACK HIS ORIGINAL BANNER OF LION -
Narrative:
And the illusion created (by Viswakarma) melted away and Uttara's own banner bearing the device of a lion was set up on the car again. And having replaced the arrows and quivers of those foremost of the Kuru princes, and also that other weapon the (Gandiva) which enhances the fierceness of a battle, the illustrious prince of Matsya set out for the city with a glad heart, having Kiritin as his charioteer.
As you all can read,Arjun only used his ape banner(Not Chariot) on Uttar's chariot.(Arjun got this ape banner from Agni during Khandav Dahan). After Viraat war was over, the ape banner was melted along with other creatures and the chariot got back its original banner of lion.
Arjun used Nandighosh Chariot during Khandava Dahan and Kurukshetra war,not Viraat war.During Viraat was Arjun was on an ordinary chariot which was vulnerable.
-------------------------------------
>>>STATEMENT 3 BY FUNNY ADMIN - "Arjun had two inexhaustible quivers which supplied unlimited arrows"
EXPLANATION -
Unlimited arrows provide you an advantage when the arrows of your opponent get exhausted, but in Viraat war, neither Bhishma's arrow were exhausted, nor Drona's arrow were exhausted, nor Karna's arrow were exhausted.....So what advantage did the inexhaustible quiver give Arjun???
Yes...Ashwathama's arrow were exhausted against Arjun, but Arjun avoided him,he spared Ashwathama.Arjun did not exploit the advantage he got from his inexhaustible quiver here.
Narrative:
And as Aswatthaman's arrows, in consequence of his ceaseless discharge in that conflict,
were quickly exhausted, it was for this that Arjuna prevailed over his adversary. Then Karna, drawing his large bow with great force twanged the bow-string. And thereupon arose loud exclamation of 'Oh'! and 'Alas'! And Pritha's son, casting his eyes towards the spot where that bow was twanged, beheld before him the son of Radha. And at that sight his wrath was greatly excited. And inflamed with ire and desirous of slaying Karna, that bull of the Kuru race stared at him with rolling eyes. And, O king, beholding Partha turn away from Aswatthaman's side, the Kuru warriors discharged thousands of arrows on Arjuna.
---------------------------------------
>>>STATEMENT 4 BY FUNNY ADMIN - "Arjun's Chariot was Protected by Lord Hanuman"
EXPLANATION -
Again Wrong,Lord Hanuman was not on Arjun's chariot during Viraat war.He was on Arjun's chariot only in Kurukshetra.
(Role of Lord Hanuman during Kurukshetra will be explained in another post).
The 'Terrible Monkey' on Arjun's chariot was not Lord Hanuman,it was a chief of Bhutas. It was the same ape which Arjun got from Agni during Khandava dahan.
Narrative from Viraat war-
Then that terrible monkey blazing like fire ascended into the sky with those other creatures in the flag-staff.
Screenshot From Geeta Press- http://bit.ly/1KwGaCF
As we all can read from the slokas too,The 'Terrible Monkey' cannot be concluded as Lord Hanuman. It was the same ape and banner which Arjun got from Agni during Khandava Dahan.
Narrative from Khandava Dahan -
And there sat upon that flag-staff a celestial ape of form fierce like that of a lion or a tiger. Stationed on high, the ape seemed bent upon burning everything it beheld. And upon the (other) flags were various creatures of large size, whose roars and yells caused the enemy's soldiers to faint.
Narrative from Virat war, where Arjun hoisted same banner on Uttar's chariot -
And he hoisted on that car his own golden banner bearing the figure of an ape with a lion's tail, which was a celestial illusion contrived by Viswakarman himself. For, as soon, indeed, as he had thought of that gift of Agni, than the latter, knowing his wish
ARJUN DID NOT GET HANUMAN JI AS A GIFT FROM AGNI.THERE IS NO MENTION OF HANUMAN JI BEING THE APE HERE,AND BHEEMA-HANUMAN MEETING WAS 30 YEARS AFTER THIS KHANDAV DAHAN.AND HANUMAN JI PROMISED BHIMA TO BE ON ARJUN'S CHARIOT,NOT UTTAR'S CHARIOT.
THIS APE WAS NOT LORD HANUMAN.
THE APE BANNER WHICH WAS ON ARJUN'S NANDIGHOSH CHARIOT WAS TRANSFERRED TO UTTAR'S CHARIOT DURING VIRAAT WAR,AND AFTER VIRAAT WAR WAS OVER,THIS BANNER WAS REPLACED BY UTTAR'S ORIGINAL BANNER
Narrative:
"And the illusion created (by Viswakarma) melted away and Uttara's own banner bearing the device of a lion was set up on the car again"
As we all can read Uttar got his own banner back which means it was initially replaced by Arjun's ape banner.
ANOTHER QUOTE TO PROVE THAT APE WAS NOT LORD HANUMAN -
Karna before Virat war -
Narrative:
Struck with my javelin, the ape stationed on his banner-top shall fall down today on the ground, uttering terrible cries. The firmament will today be filled with the cries of the (super-human) creatures stationed in the flagstaff of the foe, and afflicted by me, they will fly away in all directions.
Lol,now Karna was an over boasting person but he was not such a big one that he would claim to defeat hanuman ji.Who on earth can make Lord Hanuman cry?
Actually the reverse happened of what Karna said tongue emoticon
EVEN IN KURUKSHETRA ,NOWHERE IS IT WRITTEN THAT HANUMAN JI WAS PROTECTING ARJUN'S CHARIOT,IT WAS LORD KRISHNA WHO WAS PROTECTING ARJUN'S CHARIOT,NOT HANUMAN -
Narrative:
(Krishna to Arjun)
It was because I had sat upon it during battle that it did not fall into pieces, O scorcher of foes! Previously consumed by the energy of brahmastra,it has been reduced to ashes upon my abandoning it after attainment by thee of thy objects!'
Lord Krishna does not credit Hanuman Ji anywhere for chariot protection.
ADVANTAGE WHICH ARJUN GOT FROM THIS APE -
The monkey on banner roared which caused fear in the hearts of soldiers, nothing more.Roaring won't help against Maharathi's and Arjun himself on his chariot had to hear that roaring.
- UTTAR'S CHARIOT WAS NOT DIVINE SO IT DID NOT HAVE ANY PROTECTION AGAINST CHARIOT DESTRUCTION.
- THE APE ON HIS CHARIOT WAS ONLY FOR ROARING AND CREATING FEAR IN THE HEART OF SOLDIERS.
- NOT EVEN A SINGLE LINE IN VIRAAT WAR WHERE THAT APE HELPED ARJUN BY PROTECTING HIS CHARIOT.
- NOWHERE IN VIRAAT WAR IS IT WRITTEN ABOUT APE INTERFERING BETWEEN THE DUELS OF ARJUN WITH KARNA/DRONA/BHISHMA.
- DURING KURUKSHETRA,ARJUN'S CHARIOT WAS PROTECTED BY LORD KRISHNA AGAINST DIVINE WEAPONS.
(AS PROMISED I WILL POST ABOUT LORD HANUMAN'S HELP TO ARJUN IN KURUKSHETRA)
-------------------------------------------------
>>>STATEMENT 5 BY FUNNY ADMIN - Arjuna never fought with all kuru at a time. He fought one by one
EXPLANATION -
WRONG AGAIN,Many time Kurus jointly attacked Arjun -
1st Time - MANY KURU WARRIORS SHOWERED ARROWS ON ARJUN
Narrative:
And, O king, beholding Partha turn away from Aswatthaman's side, the Kuru warriors discharged thousands of arrows on Arjuna.
2nd Time - GROUP ATTACK ON ARJUN BY DUSHASAN,VIKARNA,DUSSAHA & VIVINGSATI
RESULT - ALL DEFEATED OR FLED
Narrative:
And at this, four mighty warriors, Dussasana and Vikarna and Dussaha and Vivingsati, skilled in weapons and endued with great energy, and all decked with handsome garlands and ornaments, rushed towards that terrible bowman. And advancing towards Vibhatsu--that fierce archer, these all encompassed him around. Then the heroic Dussasana pierced the son of Virata with a crescent-shaped arrow and he pierced Arjuna with another arrow in the breast. And Jishnu, confronting Dussasana, cut off by means of a sharp-edged arrow furnished with vulturine wings his adversary's bow plaited with gold, and then pierced his person in the breast by means of five arrows. And afflicted by the arrows of Partha. Dussasana fled, leaving the combat. Then Vikarna, the son of Dhritarashtra, pierced Arjuna--that slayer of hostile heroes, by means of sharp and straight arrows furnished with vulturine wings. But the son of Kunti within a moment hit him also in the forehead with straight shafts. And pierced by Arjuna, he fell down from his car. And at this, Dussaha, supported by Vivingsati, covered Arjuna with a cloud of sharp arrows, impelled by the desire of rescuing his brother. Dhananjaya, however, without the least anxiety, pierced both of them almost at the same instant by means of couple of keen-edged arrows and then slew the steeds of both. And there upon, both those sons of Dhritarashtra, deprived of their steeds and their bodies mangled were taken away by the warrior behind them who had rushed forward with other cars.
3rd Time - AGAIN A GROUP ATTACK ON ARJUN BY KAURAVA MAHARATHAS AND ATI RATHAS
RESULT - ALL FLED
Narrative:
Vaisampayana said, 'Then, O thou of the Bharata race, all the great car-warriors of the Kurus, united together, began to assail Arjuna to the best of their might from all sides. But that hero of immeasurable soul completely covered all those mighty car-warriors with clouds of arrows, even as the mist covereth the mountains. And the roars of huge elephants and conchs, mingling together, produced a loud up roar. And penetrating through the bodies of elephants and horses as also through steel coats of mail, the arrows shot by Partha fell by thousands. And shooting shafts with the utmost celerity, the son of Pandu seemed in that contest to resemble the blazing sun of an autumnal midday. And afflicted with fear, the car-warriors began to leap down from their cars and the horse-soldiers from horse-back, while the foot-soldiers began to fly in all directions
4th Time - ARJUN WHILE FIGHTING BHISHMA HAD TO FIGHT AGAINST HIS PROTECTORS TOO
Narrative:
And the heroic warriors that protected Bhishma's car, slain by the son of Pandu, fell prostrate, O monarch, beside the car of Kunti's son. And the feathery arrows of Svetavahana, shot from the Gandiva, fell in all directions as if with the object of making a wholesale slaughter of the foe.
5th Time - KARNA ASSISTED BY OTHER WARRIORS ATTACKED ARJUNA -
Narrative:
And seeing this those mighty car-warriors, Chitrasena and Sangramajit and Satrusaha and Jaya, desirous of aiding Karna, rushed with arrows and long shafts, towards the advancing hero of Bharata's race
SO ITS CLEAR THAT ARJUNA DID NOT FOUGHT KURU MAHARATHAS ONE BY ONE,HE FOUGHT AND VANQUISHED THEM IN GROUPS TOO.
-------------------------------------------------------
>>>STATEMENT 6 BY FUNNY ADMIN - Karna lost due to celestial bow advantage with Arjun
Now Karna fans say that Arjun broke ordinary bow of Karna and his bow being unbreakable was the cause of Karna's defeat.
BUT....The strings of Gandiva were still breakable, even Ashwathama managed to break a bow string of Gandiv in Viraat war,
Narrative:
the powerful son of Drona finding an opportunity, cut off the string of the Gandiva with an arrow furnished with a horse-shoe head
Karna defeated and fled in Virat war even when his Bow and Chariot were not Destroyed -
Narrative:
And he covered Karna's car with countless shafts like the sun covering the different worlds with rays. And like a lion attacked by an elephant, Arjuna, taking some keen crescent-shaped arrows from out of his quiver and drawing his bow to his ear, pierced the Suta's son on every part of his body. And that grinder of foes pierced Karna's arms and thighs and head and forehead
and neck and other principal parts of his body with whetted shafts endued with the impetuosity of the thunderbolt and shot from the Gandiva in battle. And mangled and afflicted by the arrows shot by Partha the son of Pandu, Vikartana's son, quitted the van of battle, and quickly took to flight, like one elephant vanquished by another.'"
Arjun too had a lot of disadvantages-
- He had to handle 2 Akshoni Kuru Army alone.
- He had to handle the likes of Bhishma,Drona,Karna,Kripa,Duryodhan,Ashwathama,Dushasan,Vikarna etc alone.
- He had to protect Uttar too,if uttar gone then Game Over.
- He had to protect his chariot too,if the chariot destroyed, then again Game Over,he did not have any extra chariot.
- He could not retreat and take rest like Karna did twice.
- He had to use celestial weapons with great care due to the cows present in the battlefield.
----------------------------------------------
>>> HALF INFO AND MISINTERPRETATION BY ADMIN REGARDING ARJUN-KARNA DUEL
I have mentioned my replies as >>OUR EXPLANATION
From Star Plus Mahabharat Page -
2) And incapable of putting up with that assault, Arjuna cut off the strings of Karna's quiver by means of a straight and sharp arrow.
*****Here, See Arjuna cut the ordinary string of ordinary quikkers of Karna bcoz karna didn't have celestial quikkers like arjuna as mentioned above.
>>OUR EXPLANATION - String of that Quiver has nothing to do with being unbreakable or not.Warriors also have arrows on their chariot too.No mention of Karna trying to cut Arjun's quivers, useless point.
3) Thereupon, taking out from his quiver another arrow, Karna pierced the Pandava in the hand at which the latter's hold of the bow was loosened.
*****Here, See Karna shot an arrow & try to break the bow of Arjuna...but Arjuna posses celestial bow thats why it was hard to cut it.. Gandiva slept from the hands of Arjuna.
>>OUR EXPLANATION - Here Karna was not trying to break Arjun's bow,if he was capable he could have broken the string of Arjun's bow which Ashwathama did earlier.Karna was trying to pierce Arjun, not break the bow.
4) and the light-handed Karna, unable to bear the sight of the foe, pierced the four horses of the diadem-decked hero with whetted arrows, and then struck his car-driver with three shafts, and his flagstaff also with three
*****Here, See Karna try to destory divine horses of arjuna's divine chariot.but they were so powerful. Also he try to destroy flag of Arjun's chariot but it was protected by hanuman.
>>OUR EXPLANATION - Horses of Uttar's chariot were not divine, neither Hanuaman ji was protecting Arjun's chariot.Karna's arrow were not powerful enough to destroy the chariot standard and Horses.
5) And then the mighty-armed Partha cut off Karna's bow into fragments.
*****Here, See Arjuna cut the ordinary bow of Karna by using his celestial bow
6)And Vibhatsu slew the steeds of Karna by means of sharp and tough arrows shot from the bow-string drawn to the ear, and deprived of life they dropped down on the ground.
****Here, See Arjuna killed ordinary horses of ordinary chariot of Karna.
7) And taking another sharp and blazing arrow endued with great energy, the mighty son of Kunti pierced the breast of Kama. And that arrow, cleaving through his mail, penetrated into his body. And at this, Karna's vision was obscured and his senses left him.
*****Here, See Karna was weaponless, chariotless still Arjuna showered arrows n made him unconsious. Thats why Karna leave the spot not battlefield. He didn't went to home. After recovery he came back for fight.
>> OUR EXPLANATION - Half Info by Admin, they skipped two lines between the narrative 5 and 6,below they are-
"And Karna replied by hurling a dart at his adversary, but Arjuna cut it off by means of his arrows. And then the warriors that followed the son of Radha rushed in crowds at Arjuna, but Partha sent them all to the abode of Yama by means of arrows shot from the Gandiva"
LOL,Karna was not weaponless,he was supported by Other warriors after his bow got broken,he even hurled a dart on Arjun, but Arjun after destroying those weapons and defeating those warriors mangled Karna. In the meanwhile,Karna had enough time to recover.
-----------------------------------------------
>>> STATEMENT 7 BY FUNNY ADMIN - Arjun used Sammohanastra and fled from Battlefield
EXPLANATION:
- After defeating all Kuru warriors,Arjun used Sammohanastra.
- It was evening and Arjun did not wanted to Kill the kurus,so he decided to put them to sleep,it was the best way to end the war.The purpose of that war was to rescue the cows, which was accomplished.
- After using Sanmohanastra,Arjun waited till they all recovered. He neither slew them while they lay senseless, nor did he use the opportunity to escape the battlefield.
- Sammohanastra is not banned in war,Don't create your own stories,it was used in Kurukshetra too.
- Even Gods applauded the feats of Arjuna,so obviously it was a fair defeat of Kurus and Karna.
Narrative:
And the celestials also, having witnessed that most wonderful encounter between Falguna and the Kurus, were highly delighted, and went to their respective abodes, reflecting upon Partha's feats
- Even Karna accepted that he was fairly defeated by Arjuna in Virat war-
Narrative:
(Karna to Salya)
So also, in Virata's city, moving on a single car he vanquished all of us, and snatched from us that wealth of kine, and took from all the foremost of car-warriors (portions of) their garments.
-----------------------------------------------
1) ARJUN SINGLE HANDEDLY DEFEATED THE ENTIRE KURU ARMY.
2) ARJUN SPARED THE LIVES OF ALL KAURAVAS AND KARNA.
3) NO LORD KRISHNA OR LORD HANUMAN FOR ARJUN'S HELP.
4) NO INDESTRUCTIBLE CHARIOT FOR ARJUN'S SUPPORT.
5) NO USE OF INFALLIBLE WEAPONS BY ARJUN LIKE PASHUPATASTRA OR BRAHMASIRA.
6) STILL KARNA GOT DEFEATED THRICE.

MISCONCEPTION - ARJUN KILLED A WEAPONLESS KARNA

Whenever Karna fans start losing a debate, like typical losers they always cry - If Arjuna was so great why did he kill an unarmed Karna when he was lifting his chariot. They abuse Arjuna, even abuse lord Krishna for this.

Well,as per the most researched sanskrit texts,Karna was not killed in weaponless state. He was fighting Arjun, even discharged Brahmastra and Varunastra,he got killed because he failed to counter Anjalika Weapon of Arjun.

Citations below-

Its a bit long narration, but read each and every line to know the truth.

“Kiriti cheerfully said, ‘Let this arrow bring me victory.’ Wishing to slay Karna, bring about his end and convey him to Yama, he released the arrow, which was as radiant as the sun and the moon. Cheerfully, so that he could be conveyed towards victory, the one with the diadem and the garland shot the arrow. It was as radiant as the sun and the moon. He harboured feelings of enmity and wished to slay his enemy. That weapon, blazing like the sun, was shot. Like the sun, it lit up the earth with its radiance. The head of the commander of the army was severed. Like the sun, with a red disc, it seemed to set.”

#### END OF KARNA ####

Karna Parva Link - http://sanskritdocuments.org/mirrors/mahabharata/unic/mbh08_sa.html

So as we all can read,Karna was killed pretty fairly, the only thing unfair was Karna fighting on ground, but he did have his Vijaya bow in hand,he also used Brahmastra and Varunastra but he failed to counter the deadly Anjalika Arrow which dispatched him to Yama's abode.

Even Arjun faced Kuru Army on foot without any chariot on Day 14,inside chakravyuh.Just using a bow , Arjun vanquished them all. That time Arjun was fighting a "Maharatha" (One on Many),but here both Karna and Arjuna were fighting as "Rathas" (One on One).

Karna fans say that Abhimanyu was killed fairly, group attacks were common,So what about this,Karna didn't even have to face any group attack.Abhimanyu was not on his chariot, similarly Karna was not on his chariot.Abhimanyu had to face 7 warriors together,Karna just had to face one warrior. If Abhimanyu wadh was fair then this is perfectly fair.

BORI CRITICAL AND KARNA'S DIGVIJAY

Karna fans 15 Days ago - "Bori is fake, they removed Karna's digvijay, its given at 3 places in KMG,they removed it everywhere."

Karna fans now - "O Sorry, they removed it only from one Place, they still have it at two places, they forget to remove it from two places."

LOL,Karna fans think that translators at Bhandarkar Institute are 'Ghajni' who forget things tongue emoticon

Seems like Karna fans did not read our post carefully, like we said in our previous post,Karna's digvijay "Chapter" in Vana Parva is an interpolation, which in not present in all Northern Recensions as well as Dakshinatya too.

However,Dhritrashtra mentions about Karna subjugating several Kingdoms in Karna Parva.

That chapter of Karna’s Digvijay was deliberately added in Vana Parva for glorifying his conquests and which is not in all sanskrit texts and neither in Dakshinatya nor in Nilakantha.

Some inconsistencies in that chapter can be pointed out -

>>> Incident 1

That chapter mentions Karna Subjugating Anga and Magadha in the Eastern Direction, why would Karna subjugate his own kingdom-

Narrative:

Then descending from the mountain and rushing to the east, he reduced the Angas, and the Bangas, and the Kalingas, and the Mandikas, and the Magadhas. the Karkakhandas

KARNA WAS ALREADY THE KING OF ANGA AND ALSO HAD MAGADHA UNDER HIS CONTROL,SO WHY WOULD HE SUBJUGATE HIS OWN KINGDOM?HOW WOULD HE DEFEAT HIMSELF?

Now before the super intelligent Karna fans say that there were many ‘Angas’ i would like to tell them, ‘Mleecha’ has been called ‘Anga’ sometimes-

Narrative:

O sire, by Bhima, the ruler of the Angas on his elephant came there for afflicting the son of Pandu. Thereupon, Bhimasena deeply pierced with a long arrow that prince of elephants advancing with loud roars, between its two frontal globes. That arrow, penetrating through its body, sank deep in the earth. And at this the elephants fell down like a hill riven by the thunder. While the elephant was falling down, the Mleccha king also was falling down it. But Vrikodara, endued with great activity, cut off his head with a broad-headed arrow before his antagonist actually fell down. When the heroic ruler of the Angas fell, his divisions fled away.

Here the ruler of ‘Anga’ is also called ‘Mleccha’ king,so basically ‘Anga’ has been used sometimes for ‘Mleccha’.

But the Anga subjugated by Karna was not Mleccha because subjugation of Mleccha has been separately mentioned in that Digvijay chapter -

Narrative:

that hero without any aid brought under subjection all the nations of the Mlechchhas, the mountaineers, the Bhadras, the Rohitakas, the Agneyas and the Malavas

>>> Incident 2

Another surprising incident is Karna defeating Bhagdutta, who had an invincibility boon(Vaishnav Weapon) from lord Vishnu and also the invincible elephant Sauptrika.

Narrative:

Then going to the north, he subdued the sovereigns (of that quarter) and having effected the defeat of Bhagadatta, Radha's son ascended that mighty mountain Himavat

Bhagadutta’s father Naraka got Vaishnavastra as a boon from Varaha Avtar of Lord Vishnu and he bestowed that weapon onto his son Bhagadutta. As per the boon of lord vishnu, the wielder of this weapon would remain invincible -

Narrative:

“Protected by this weapon, thy son will always, in all the worlds, be invincible and crush all hostile hosts.”

So how did Karna managed to “DEFEAT” Bhagadutta when had a boon of invincibility? If Bhagdutta accepted Sovereignty of Karna it would have still made some sense, just like Rukmi did,but Bhagdutta having boon and still getting defeated by Karna does not make any sense.

SO KARNA FANS,BEFORE ACCUSING BORI,DO SOME RESEARCH FIRST,THIS CHAPTER OF DIGVIJAY IS NOT IN SOUTHERN RECENSIONS,NILAKANTHA AND FEW DEVANAGARI EDITIONS TOO.

WITH LITTLE RESEARCH,WE MANAGED TO POINT OUT TWO ERRORS IN THE CHAPTER,BORI DID RESEARCH FROM THOUSAND TEXTS,BASED ON THAT,THIS CHAPTER WAS REMOVED.

KRIPACHARYA'S STATEMENT TO KARNA-

What, however, O Kama, hath been achieved by thee single-handed like any of the sons of Pandu, each of whom had alone subjugated many lords of earth?

http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m04/m04049.htm

THIS STATEMENT OF KRIPA ALSO CREATES DOUBT ABOUT KARNA'S DIGVIJAY.

Most funny and ignorant statement of Karna fans -

“BORI is a bunch of Karna haters”

Lets analyse this statement-

BORI has researched from most number of sources available, and after research from thousands sources the scholars at BORI found that Karna is such a big “EVIL” that they started hating him,LOL so what do Karna fans want to say?Are All Karna lovers are noobs who do not know the difference between the ‘Aham Sharma’ of StarPlus and ‘Karna’ of Vyas Mahabharat?
LOL,Karna fans, Think before you speak
